Sadly my grandsons hamster 'Jimmy' died recently after 3 long years, very good for a hamster.
We decided to replace him as Joe really missed him. So, meet ' Jumble', a blue rat.
He's a bit camera shy!
I guess its tough being the new kid and the house already has resident guardians, my trusty mice.
He is feeling more at home and starting to explore his 'Home Sweet Home'.
What a handsome chap he is.

In between buying Rats, trying to ignore the football, going to fairs and walking in this lovely weather we're having this summer I have been working on my Crazy Patchwork so I'm giving you a progress report.
I am trying to use the same colours throughout, keeping to the red, cream and faded browns that are in the fabrics.
I've more to do on this block,I'm looking for interesting threads. If you have any ideas on what I should add next please tell me.
Hope you are all enjoying the summer!
Have a great weekend,

Absolutley beautiful
Advice is, don't take any. Do your own thing, it looks as if you have it all in hand. X X X
I like rats, as long as they have four legs. Ah cute little guy. One thing you can always rely on with kids.... they eventually grow out of hamsters, then you have to worry. :-)
Jumble is adorable! I agree with the first comment. Looks like you are doing a beautiful job.
He is a cute rat! And looks so tame. Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great weekend. Julian

I have heard rats can make good pets. Their tails freak me out! The quilt block is amazing!
Thank you for visiting me at Rocky Road Creations. I have wonderful memories of a wonderful rat named Shadow. My friend sons had her and she was the best pet. Your rat is beautiful.
Me again!! Thank you so much for the kind comment on my blog! I think cake would be perfect, a great suggestion! Now just choosing what kind.......
Hi is soooo cute! I've never seen a blue rat before. Much better than the white version with the pink eyes!
